Everything you want is the last film
Achero Mañas after eight years of silence in which we witness the story of how Leo, a conservative lawyer dump work, is forced to confront her daughter's care six years after the sudden loss of his wife. Faced with this argument

The always interesting work by the English director is a proposal that part of an original idea and risky.
While it is true that in the end, we face the portrait of the process by which the character matures to become a better person-topic so many times led to the big screen-Mañas Achero , inviting us to see the picture through a different prism from the time the director decides to reflect on the process of psychological transformation that are applied to the protagonist in the form of physical transformation as it decides to adopt the cross-dressing role of his dead wife. Decision in the hands of another director might have ended up be pathetically funny, dare I say ridiculous, and, on the contrary, Mr. Mañas us so that seems the most natural. In this aspect the film is exemplary.
Unfortunately the film is also exemplary in other respects. And I say this because, unfortunately, this work is the perfect example that a movie requires more than a good idea or an interesting approach.
Any film, unless that does not aspire to be more than a slight sketch, script requires a well-developed, well-crafted and matured. A script that allows us to understand the motivations of his characters and feel what these feel. In this regard, the script Everything you want can not say that it is exemplary.
In this film we do not understand the motivation of Leo, a character that is released too easily to their prejudices to take such a drastic decision and not just feel the suffering of the child by the loss of the maternal figure, which would help greatly to understand the motivation character of the father. Nor was decided to deepen address a current situation as that is none other than the progressive exchange of roles between men and women in the family and society. The script, written by the Mañas, lacks depth and maturity to have these elements, however, do not miss it so topical situations such as the beating by the usual homophobic youth group, the ultraconservative laws with South American housekeeper including old-looking and bitter by the age-change and the contempt for his son.
In summary, the final consideration, I would say Everything you want is a film with an interesting proposal, which is welcome, but due to a script that has not been allowed to develop in-depth I might have worked better in short format.
